The actions at the Azerbaijani police station should be clarified between Iran and Azerbaijan. They don’t relate to movements from Zangezur to the territory of Armenia. Andranik Kocharyan

At the moment, there is no tension at the Azerbaijani police station on the Vorotan road. This was stated by the MP of the "Civil Contract" faction Andranik Kocharyan in an interview with journalists in the parliament today.

According to Kocharyan, it is about the Evazlar section of the road, where the Azerbaijani police have done some actions in recent days. According to the MP, they don't fit into the logic of border problems. "What it that? The police stop Iranian cars and charge money. The actions at the Azerbaijani police station should be clarified between Iran and Azerbaijan. They don’t relate to movements from Zangezur to the territory of Armenia. The issue of an alternative road is being resolved. I’m talking about the Tatev-Kapan road. If the alternative road is used, Azerbaijani actions on the road of Vorotan will become meaningless," Andranik Kocharyan said.
