For the time being no meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan is planned. MFA spokesperson

Vahan Hunanyan, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, in response to questions from the media, has distributed a message saying, that Prime Minister Pashinyan has repeatedly stated that the Republic of Armenia is ready to resume high-level negotiations on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with Azerbaijan within the framework and mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship.

"Meanwhile, based on the statement of January 11, 2021, Armenia has been involved in trilateral (Armenia, Russia, Azerbaijan) working discussions on the unblocking of transport communications in the region. Since May of 2021, the withdrawal of Azerbaijani armed forces units from the territory of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the possible launch of the demarcation and delimitation process of the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, which has not been implemented so far, have been discussed within the trilateral format.

The two Co-Chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group - the United States and France, as well as the European Union, have also expressed their readiness to provide advisory assistance on border delimitation and demarcation, as well as on opening of the regional communications.

The Government of Armenia stated the above-mentioned agenda months ago and will be consistent in its promotion, protection of the interests of Armenia and Artsakh, as well as in the establishment of regional peace and stability.

At the same time, I would like to emphasize that for the time being no meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan is planned. There are proposals for various meetings in different formats, which are being discussed.
I would also like to underline that the “news'' spread on this topic by some circles are clearly of provocative nature and do not correspond to reality. In order to have a clear understanding of the situation, I would recommend to recall once again the news, allegations, "revelations" that preceded the trilateral meeting held in Moscow on January 11, 2021. Afterwards, it is useful to assess their veracity with the actual outcomes of the meeting," the message reads.
