In Lebanon the war destroyed the house, so we came here, started from scratch, built, but now we are going to leave again - Aghavno resident

Seven years ago, Tamar Dumbalyan's family moved from Lebanon to Artsakh, to Aghavno village.  He has been living in Aghavno for seven years.  And two days ago, Tamar and other residents of Aghavno learned that they will have to leave the village on August 25.

“Khanumyan came and said that on the 25th of August, Russians are leaving this post and Azerbaijanis are coming.  The people will certainly not be able to live with Azeris, how can you trust them?  In Lebanon the war destroyed the house, so we came here, started from scratch, built, but now we are going to leave again.  It's a state of madness, you don't know what to do, who to blame,” she tells.

The situation has been tense in Artsakh for several days.  Azerbaijan resorted to provocation, violating the ceasefire and demanding the release of Lachin Corridor.  Two days ago, it became clear that the residents of three settlements of Artsakh, Aghavno, Berdzor and Nerkin Sus, will have to leave their homes, and the connection between Artsakh and Armenia will have to be ensured by a new road, which is not yet ready.
