Today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the awarding ceremony of the "Prime Minister's Cup of the Republic of Armenia" amateur marathon tournament in Etchmiadzin, the RA government reports this.
The tournament was held on the section of the road covering the Parakar-Ejmiatsin highway of the Armavir region, with 3 age groups and a separate group of athletes. 1st age group: schoolchildren aged 15-17, 2nd: women aged 18-35 and men aged 18-40, 3rd: women aged over 36 and men aged over 41, a separate group of athletes RA citizens engaged in athletics without age limit. Schoolchildren competed in 2 km, and other age groups in a 10 km obstacle race. The total number of participants was 1400.
The awards were presented by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Chief of the Prime Minister's Office Arayik Harutyunyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Karen Giloyan, Armavir Governor Edward Hovhannisyan, Head of Vagharshapat community Diana Gasparyan.
Pashinyan also had a speech.
"Our goal is a free, powerful, and happy Armenia, a sovereign, independent, safe Armenia, and on this path of our walk, our run, we must, against everything, be more and more determined. From time to time we will walk, from time to time we will run, from time to time we will stop to think and reflect, but our progress will not and will not be stopped by anything," Pashinyan said.
