The units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of the Armenian positions

On November 12, at 18:00-19:00, the units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan opened fire from rifle weapons of different calibers in the direction of the Armenian positions located in the eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The Armenian side has no losses․ As of 8:30 p.m., the situation on the frontline is relatively stable.

Macron informed Aliyev about the upcoming meeting with Pashinyan

On November 12, the Presidents of Azerbaijan and France Ilham Aliyev and Emmanuel Macron had a telephone conversation. 

The French President informed about the meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan within the framework of the 18th summit of the Organization of Francophonie to be held on November 19 and once again expressed France's intention to contribute to the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"The interlocutors also exchanged ideas on the results of the quadrilateral meeting with the participation of Armenia, Azerbaijan, EU, and France in Prague and the events that took place after that.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of a neutral, impartial, and balanced approach in the process of regulating Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.

Aliyev also drew attention to the statements made by the Armenian side in recent days, noting that they contradict the agenda of peace and normalization of relations between the two countries," the statement of the press service of the President of Azerbaijan stated.

The French side's participation in the economic and investment programs implemented in Armenia was discussed

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who is in Paris on a working visit, had a meeting with the Minister-in-charge of Foreign Trade, Attractiveness, and French Nationals Abroad Olivier Becht.

The interlocutors referred to the deepening of the trade and economic ties between the two countries and the necessary steps to effectively realize the existing potential. In this meeting, the Armenian-French economic cooperation roadmap signed in December of last year was highlighted on both sides, where the prospects for the development of cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, energy, high-tech agriculture, healthcare, and tourism are highlighted.

The possible participation of the French side in various economic and investment programs implemented in Armenia was also discussed. The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the close ties established in the field of Armenian-French decentralized cooperation.
