The territorial integrity of Azerbaijan has nothing to do with NKR and its status - Artsakh MFA statement

Recently, various discussions, comments, and opinions regarding the status of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic have become active again, which is an objective process, taking into account the key nature of this issue in the process of settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict.

Official Stepanakert welcomes any step towards a peaceful and comprehensive solution to the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict, as well as to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh is authorized to announce that the official position of the people and authorities of Artsakh remains unchanged.

Artsakh will not be part of Azerbaijan. The settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, including the settlement of the border issue between the two countries, cannot and should not be related to the status of the Republic of Artsakh.

The territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan has nothing to do with the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh and its status, which was established by the people of our country in complete and strict compliance with the norms and principles of international law and the Soviet legislation in force at that time.
