Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement noting that on July 3, 2021, at the initiative of the Russian Federation, Armenia handed over to Azerbaijan a map of about 92.000 anti-tank and anti-personnel mines placed in the Fizuli-Zangilan region.

“We express our gratitude to Rustam Muradov, the Commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent temporarily stationed in Azerbaijan, for his mediation in the implementation of the humanitarian initiative to obtain mine maps,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, as a humanitarian step, the Azerbaijani side extradited to Armenia 15 people who were imprisoned by a court decision and whose sentence has expired.
