On July 14 at around 10:30 am an incident was registered in the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces with the use of engineering equipment tried to carry out fortification works in order to advance combat positions. 

After the actions of the Armenian side aimed the termination of those works, the Azerbaijani servicemen opened targeted fire on the Armenian positions. As a result of a shootout, a serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces was killed. The Azerbaijani side also has losses.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia strongly condemns the provocation of the Azerbaijani side. The military-political leadership of Azerbaijan bears full responsibility for the further aggravation of the situation.
