Russia welcomes the readiness of European countries to contribute to a peaceful settlement, if they help in the implementation of existing agreements. This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, TASS reports.

“Russia is working successfully to establish a dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia, but Moscow welcomes the readiness of European countries to contribute to a peaceful settlement in the Caucasus. If mediation efforts bring peace, stability, predictability and help in the implementation of existing agreements, then they can only be welcomed,” Peskov said, commenting on the statements of the EU countries about their intention to be in the trilateral format of negotiations on Nagorno-Karabakh.
