Rustam Muradov, the former commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, positively assessed the activities of Russian peacekeepers in the region. 

“I assess the activities of the Russian peacekeeping mission only positively. The civilian population should asses our activities. Life in Karabakh is going on in a normal way. Of course, there are difficult issues, but the process is underway, people are returning, number of issues are being solved. So I think that everything will be fine. In the next 5 years, peacekeepers will remain on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. A decision will be made to extend the deployment of the Russian peacekeeping mission in the future,” Muradov said.
