The main result of the agreements reached by the heads of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia last year on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh is the stabilization of the situation in the conflict zone. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference on Tuesday, TASS reports.
According to him, in New York the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs agreed with Baku and Yerevan to resume working trips to the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
“Recently, the three co-chairs from Russia, the United States and France met with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in New York. As far as I understand, they agreed to resume their trips to the region, to visit Nagorno-Karabakh and talk with representatives of Armenia and Azerbaijan on the spot, including meetings in Stepanakert,” Lavrov said.
