The role of Turkey reduced NATO’s credibility in maintaining stability and peace in the region. Arshak Karapetyan

On October 21, Armenian Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan received Javier Colomina Piriz, NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia. This was reported by Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

Minister Karapetyan presented the security situation and threats created after the cessation of hostilities in Artsakh and noted the role of Turkey, a NATO member, in the 44-day war, which reduced NATO’s credibility in maintaining stability and peace in the region.

The interlocutors also discussed issues of regional security and prospects for Armenia-NATO cooperation.
