Unblocking is important for the formation of a security environment in the region. The Secretary of the Security Council told the Norwegian Ambassador

On October 22, the Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway Helen Sand Andresen.

At the beginning of the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on issues related to the bilateral agenda and expressed readiness to further expand it, as well as fully realize the potential of cooperation. Ambassador Helene Sand Andresen particularly emphasized that democratic values, human rights, rule of law, education, energy security are the spheres within which Armenian-Norwegian relations can further develop.

The parties touched upon issues related to regional security and stability. The Secretary of the Security Council stressed the need for unblocking to create a secure environment in the region. Both sides highlighted the role of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs in the process of a comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
