The trilateral statement signed on November 9, 2020 between Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue is extremely important, its significance cannot be overestimated. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson of the president of Russia, TASS reports.
“We assess the documents signed last year as extremely important, important for both Azerbaijan and Armenia, as documents that allowed to put an end to the war and embark on the path of peaceful development of the regional economy and infrastructure,” Peskov said.
He also said that contacts between the President of Russia and the heads of Azerbaijan and Armenia are not planned for the one-year anniversary of signing the trilateral statement.
“As for contacts with Baku and Yerevan, they happen from Moscow at different levels and exclusively on a regular basis. As for the trilateral communication, when such an agreement is reached, we will inform you,” Peskov said.
