On November 10, the Head of the RA NA Civil Contract Faction Hayk Konjoryan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Armenia Lynne Tracy.

The Head of Armenia-USA Friendship Group Hayk Konjoryan highlighted the inter-parliamentary cooperation in the relations between the two countries. He highly assessed the support by the U.S. in the reforms aimed at strengthening democracy in Armenia.

Hayk Konjoryan touched upon the issue of the urgent return of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan. The Head of the Faction also spoke about the provocative actions by Azerbaijan, as a consequence of which on October 8 near Shushi a civilian was killed, and some people are also injured.

During the meeting the issue of the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship was highlighted.

Lynne Tracy noted that the United States would continue the close cooperation with the Armenian authorities in different spheres, and the inter-parliamentary cooperation format essentially could promote the deepening of the effective collaboration.
