On November 23, the Dutch Parliament adopted two resolutions on the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the Armenian POWs, the Armenian Embassy in the Netherlands informs.
It’s noted that in one of the resolutions, the Parliament calls on the Government to work together with the EU to conduct an independent investigation of the facts of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and report to Parliament on the results in a short time.
The second resolution mentions serious problems in the issues of human rights, freedom of speech, freedom of the press in Azerbaijan, which are increasingly deepening. The resolution also touches upon the issue of Armenian POWs, who are still being held in Azerbaijan.
“Taking into account Azerbaijan’s participation in the Eastern Partnership Summit to be held on December 15, a country that is far from the EU values, the Dutch Parliament calls on the government to draw conclusions from these situations during the EU-Azerbaijan negotiations,” the statement reads.
