We are closely monitoring the situation in the South Caucasus and are in contact with the Armenian side. Just returned from Yerevan, where I discussed the situation in detail with the country’s leadership, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas said.

“The CSTO supports the intention, enshrined in the trilateral statement of November 26, to establish a bilateral commission between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the demarcation and delimitation of the border. We also welcome the steps taken by the Government of the Republic of Armenia aimed at a political and diplomatic settlement of the situation. We consider this the only way out,” Zas said.
