1lurer.am։ The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs is an international format that has been created with a unique mandate to find a political solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this at today’s press conference.
“The settlement of the issue has not been found yet, we must continue the negotiations in that format. The way or one of the results to find a political settlement of that format is to clarify, work out and sign the parameters of a general, comprehensive peace agreement,” Mirzoyan said.
Mirzoyan stressed that it is very important to remember the principles developed by the Minsk Group. One of them is the right of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh to self-determination.
“One of the principles was the non-use of force, which was severely violated in 2020. Now not only Armenia and Azerbaijan, not only the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, but the whole world must decide whether the non-use of force remains a fundamental principle in the world or whether states can allow the use of force to decide important issues and the fate of peoples,” Mirzoyan said.
