Normalization of relations between Ankara and Yerevan can play a positive role in normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Lee Litzenberger, U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan said.

Normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia will open up new logistics and transport opportunities in the region. It can also play a role in the settlement of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Settlement and stability in this region will benefit all the countries of the region,” Litzenberger said.

According to him, the United States stands for unblocking communications in the region and establishing stability. At the same time, the Ambassador pointed out certain problems between Baku and Yerevan: “There are a number of issues that still need to be resolved: the problem of minefields, the return of IDPs, demarcation and delimitation of the border,” he said.
