5 so-called principles presented by Azerbaijan are about the rejection of Artsakh, the final closure of the Artsakh issue. Vanetsyan

5 so-called principles presented by Azerbaijan are about the rejection of Artsakh, the final closure of the Artsakh issue, Arthur Vanetsyan, the Head of the “I have Honor” (Pativ Unem) faction, said.

“I’m sure you’re all familiar with what those principles are about. In my opinion, those are about the rejection of Artsakh, the final closure of the Artsakh issue. At the same time, we cannot ignore the environment in which Azerbaijan formulates these demands: psychological terror against our compatriots, humanitarian catastrophe in Artsakh, increased tension on the border, periodic violations of the ceasefire regime, the use of various weapons in the direction of Armenian settlements and positions,” Vanetsyan said, adding that “Azerbaijan’s elder brother, Turkey, has smoothly joined and supports this coercive policy implemented by Baku, the most recent evidence of which is the visit of the Armenian Foreign Minister to Antalya and the statements of high-ranking Turkish officials that followed this visit that Armenia should accept Azerbaijan’s proposals.”

Vanetsyan noted that in response to all this, Yerevan continues to talk about the opening of the so-called era of peace: “The responses of various officials representing the authorities to border violations and social and humanitarian situation in Artsakh are more than ridiculous. The position of the current Armenian authorities on the 5 points or it would be more correct to say about requirements presented by Azerbaijan is equally ridiculous and unacceptable. A logical question arises: did you answer those five requirements? If you have responded to the Azerbaijani proposal, why do you refuse to make it public, what is the goal? Moreover, the Armenian authorities express their readiness to apply to the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairmanship to organize negotiations on a peace treaty with Azerbaijan. Do our officials not know that the OSCE Minsk Group doesn’t have such a mandate, do they not understand that by leaving Artsakh out of the process, they are making an irreversible mistake or are they once again serving the Azerbaijani agenda?”
