“Important development following last week’s Brussels meeting,” Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, wrote on Twitter.

“The EU is supportive of direct contacts & engagement,” Klaar added.

Earlier today the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan held telephone conversation.
