The RF MFA corrected the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov regarding the situation in Parukh.

Yesterday Lavrov, answering the relevant question, said that the situation around the village of Parukh is a priority for the Russian military. According to Lavrov, there are already certain results of de-escalation of the situation there.

“And we have an awareness that within the framework of the substantive work on demarcation that is already beginning, these issues will be discussed and definitely resolved,” Lavrov said.

Meanwhile, in the message of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the following was noted as Lavrov’s response: “We hope that the launch of the process of delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border will help to increase trust between Baku and Yerevan and prevent incidents like Parukh in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.”
