At the session of the Security Council in Artsakh, Defense Minister Kamo Vardanyan stated that there is still tension in a number of sections of the contact line. According to him, the Defense Army is in control of the situation, there are no human or positional losses.
The issue related to the corridor connecting Artsakh to Armenia was also discussed at the extended session called by President Arayik Harutyunyan, in which the political forces of the National Assembly also participated.
As reported by the president’s staff, the Azerbaijani side, through the peacekeeping troops stationed in Artsakh, submitted a demand to organize traffic on a new route in the near future.
“At the session of the Security Council, the steps to be taken in the current situation were discussed, including the provision of safe traffic through the Russian peacekeeping troops,” the report states.
