The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan recently commented on the incident that happened this morning near Lachin, as a result of which, according to official Baku, an Azerbaijani soldier was killed.

“The bloody incident that took place on August 3 once again shows that Armenia grossly violates the tripartite agreement, as well as undermines efforts aimed at normalizing relations between the two states. It also testifies to the disrespectful attitude adopted by Armenia towards mediators”, the statement of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan stated.

“The military and political leadership of Armenia bears the entire responsibility for the incident that took place on the territory of Azerbaijan, which has not yet withdrawn its illegal armed formations from the territory of the neighboring state,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan notes, adding that in the future, all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the security and integrity of Azerbaijan’s borders.

The Armenian side has not yet responded to the report.
