We have no plans to bring people to protests every day. We have organized it in such a way as to cause minimal discomfort to the participants of the rally. There will be no march today. The organizer of the rally in Republic Square, the former head of the Supreme Court’s staff, Edgar Ghazaryan said. 

He also stated that the meeting with the Prime Minister will not take place today, and they will not try to organize a meeting for the second time. According to Ghazaryan, Nikol Pashinyan is aware of their demand and is afraid of coming to the meeting.

Earlier, the office of the Prime Minister informed that Pashinyan is not in the government building.

Edgar Ghazaryan mentioned that the demand for Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation expired today and he will no longer accept the resignation of the PM because the resignation is a decision conditioned by the actions of the prime minister. In other words, the prime minister must write that decision and sign it.

Ghazaryan emphasized that Nikol Pashinyan should leave, and not by his own will, but by other decisions. According to Ghazaryan, one of those decisions should be made by Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan before the end of his tenure [until September of this year]. The other decision can be made by the National Assembly and dismiss the Prime Minister.

“If in the near future the name of the best candidate for the prime minister is not announced by the deputies, I can suggest the worst candidate for the prime minister – Edgar Ghazaryan. This process should be started before the upcoming meeting in Moscow in order to have a visible result. I will call for the next rally from the courtyard of the National Assembly when the issue of electing a new PM will be discussed, and now we will wait for the activities and actions of the deputies. I will continue my activities not with the demand of resignation, but with the demand of expulsion,” Ghazaryan said.
