Khachik Stamboltsyan, a member of the Central Committee of the 11th convocation of the Armenian SSR, a public and political figure, passed away this morning. He was 81 years old.

He was born in 1940, on September 15. He graduated from Yerevan State University with the qualification of physicist. He worked at the Institute of Experimental Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia as a junior researcher and was elected a deputy of the 11th convocation of the Central Committee of the ASSR.

He was elected as the chairman of the permanent committee on disaster zone and deportee issues of the RA Cabinet of Ministers and was a Member of the “National Progress” parliamentary group.
