Russia, together with Baku and Yerevan, is focused on the implementation of all provisions of the tripartite agreements at the highest level, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced this during the weekly briefing.

“Russia, together with Baku and Yerevan, is focused on the implementation of all provisions of the tripartite agreements at the highest level. Within the framework of the agreed international formats, the corresponding works have a substantive nature and are progressing. On August 30, a meeting was held in Moscow with the advisory support of our side regarding the demarcation of the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” Zakharova stated.

He noted that they did not receive any information from the Armenian and Azerbaijani partners about the plans to create a working group through the mediation of the EU. 

“In general, we see that the activity of the EU in the South Caucasus is conditioned by geopolitical ambitions. In our opinion, it has nothing to do with the real desire to contribute to the settlement of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations. I would say that these are fake initiatives of the Europeans,” Zakharova stated.
