The opening ceremony of the international large-scale strategic command and staff exercise “East-2022” was held in one of the military training centers located in the Far Eastern Federal Region of Russia.

As informed by the Armenian Ministry of Defense, 14 states, including the units of the RA Armed Forces, are participating in the exercise.

It is noted that welcoming the leaders of the delegations and servicemen of the participating countries, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, Colonel-General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov emphasized the importance of holding similar large-scale joint military exercises in the fight against the existing challenges.
