During the four-day autumn session of the PACE starting on October 10, among other things, it was proposed to discuss “military operations between Armenia and Azerbaijan”, the press service of the structure informs. According to the report, the final decision will be made on Monday.
In connection with the attack of Azerbaijan’s armed forces against Armenia last month, PACE called on “Azerbaijan and Armenia to refrain from any further steps that could worsen the situation, respect international agreements and immediately start peace negotiations.”
The Secretary General of the Council of Europe, expressing his concern with the military operations taking place on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, expressed his readiness to support the reconciliation efforts of Yerevan and Baku, which are members of the structure.
