The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan spreads another misinformation

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan is spreading misinformation for the second time during the day, this time claiming that on October 10, the units of the RA Armed Forces opened fire from small arms in the direction of the Azerbaijani combat positions located in the northeastern and eastern parts of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
 
The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable, no significant incidents have been recorded.

Pashinyan and Blinken emphasized the need to withdraw the Azerbaijani Armed Forces from the sovereign territory of Armenia and maintain the ceasefire

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The sides emphasized the necessity of the withdrawal of the Azerbaijani armed forces from the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia and the unconditional maintenance of the ceasefire regime.

The interlocutors referred to the results of the quadrilateral meeting of the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of France, the President of the Council of Europe, and the President of Azerbaijan held in Prague on October 6.

The security and protection of the rights of the Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh, the creation of an international mechanism for discussions between Stepanakert and Baku, and the return of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan were touched upon.

The Prime Minister also shared his impressions about the meeting with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the willingness to contribute to the negotiation process and peace and stability in the South Caucasus in the near future.

Today, PACE discussed the issue of “Military operations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, including attacks on settlements and civil infrastructures”.

Ruben Rubinyan, Vladimir Vardanyan, Eduard Aghajanyan, Sona Ghazaryan, Arusyak Julhakyan, Armen Gevorgyan, Armen Rustamyan, and Hayk Mamijanyan are participating in the fourth part of the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.  

The French Senate will discuss the issue of the withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from the occupied territories of Armenia

On November 15, the French Senate will discuss a resolution demanding the immediate withdrawal of the Azerbaijani armed forces from the occupied territories of Armenia, ensuring the implementation of the ceasefire agreement of November 9, 2020, and imposing sanctions against Azerbaijan.

Çavuşoğlu attempts to incite the Turkish community of France against the Armenian diaspora

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğluheld had a meeting with representatives of the Turkish community of France at the Turkish Consulate in Strasbourg and called on his compatriots to “act against the Armenian Diaspora in a more coordinated manner”.

During the meeting, Çavuşoğlu claimed that a part of the Armenian Diaspora in France opposes Armenia’s normalization with Turkey and Azerbaijan, Anadolu news agency reported.

Stating that there are 800,000 Turkish citizens living in France, Çavuşoğlu said that Turkey can be more effective, especially in politics and lobbying. “You must raise your voice in a more organized manner against the Armenian diaspora, dear citizens,” Çavuşoğlu told his compatriots.
