Artur Hovhannisyan, secretary of the National Assembly “Civil Contract” faction, and Hripsime Grigoryan, a deputy of the faction, today hosted media representatives, historians and political scientists from Italy.

The purpose of the group’s visit to our country is to get acquainted with regional developments, in particular, the events taking place around Armenia and Artsakh, and to present the situation and political processes related to regional security in various Italian-language platforms.

The Armenian parliamentarians gave the guests detailed information about the current situation.  The MPs considered the Azerbaijani aggression towards the sovereign territory of RA unacceptable and emphasized the international response in this matter.

The immediate return of Armenian prisoners of war and other detained persons in Azerbaijan was emphasized.

Armenia’s foreign policy positions on global and regional processes were also presented.

Security problems and challenges of the region were discussed.
