Direct dialogue between Yerevan and Baku is the key to solving problems and achieving stable peace, Vedant Patel, the representative of the State Department, said about this.
He reminded that the Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced that the USA supports the peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“We have called on the two leaders to meet in any format that will be most useful for them. Our point of view is that direct dialogue is the key to solving problems and achieving lasting peace. There is no one more supportive of the sovereignty and independence of the three countries of the South Caucasus, as well as the restoration of the independence of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, guaranteeing each of these countries to remain loyal to their foreign political interests and sovereignty,” he noted.
