Yerevan has not yet responded to the points of the peace agreement presented to the Armenian side at the meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Geneva on October 2, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated during a telephone conversation with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Bayramov spoke with the American official about the situation in the region, the process of regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, Baku’s position, and proposals.
“The minister noted that the Armenian side has not yet responded to the elements of the peace agreement, which were provided to Armenia after the results of the meeting of foreign ministers in Geneva,” the message says.
According to the Azerbaijani side, Donfried emphasized “the importance of promoting the agreements reached on the peace process during the meeting of leaders and ministers.”
