On November 15, the French Senate will discuss a resolution calling for the imposition of sanctions against Azerbaijan and the immediate withdrawal of Azerbaijani armed forces from the territory of Armenia.

According to the draft of the resolution published on the website of the Senate, it is envisaged that the legislative body will condemn the military aggressions carried out by Azerbaijan in the Lachin Corridor in early August and in the eastern regions of Armenia on September 13 and 14.

The authorities of Azerbaijan and all their partners in the region, particularly Turkey, will be called upon to respect the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Armenia in the future.

The French Senate will call for the immediate release and return of all Armenian prisoners of war. The Senate also offers the government to discuss the possibility of creating a humanitarian office in Nagorno-Karabakh.
