The Embassy of Iran in Baku congratulated Azerbaijan on the occasion of “Victory Day”.

“We congratulate the Republic of Azerbaijan and its people on Victory Day and the liberation of the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is part of the Islamic world. May the souls of the heroes rest in peace,” the tweet said.

Note that in 2020 on the night of November 9-10, the 44-day war was stopped. On that day, with the mediation of the Russian side, the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan issued a statement, according to which the entire security zone of Artsakh, as well as Shushi and Hadrut, came under the control of Azerbaijan. In Azerbaijan, this day is celebrated as Victory Day.
