On December 7, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received US Ambassador Lynn Tracy, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia, RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
The interlocutors emphasized with satisfaction the positive dynamics in RA-US relations, including active political dialogue.
Minister Mirzoyan thanked Ambassador Tracy for his significant contribution to the development of Armenian-American relations and awarded the Ambassador with the medal of honor of the RA Foreign Ministry.
Ararat Mirzoyan wished Lynn Tracy success in her future service.
It should be noted that Lynn Tracy is the candidate of US President Joe Biden for the post of US Ambassador to Russia. Lynn Tracey already worked in Moscow from 2014 to 2017 as the deputy head of the mission. She speaks Russian and, if appointed, would be the first female US ambassador to Russia.
At the same time, A. Kvien is the candidate for the new US ambassador to Armenia.
