France calls for the restoration of movement through the Lachine corridor without preconditions. This is stated in the message of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was published on the website of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan.
“France calls for the restoration of access and supplies to Nagorno-Karabakh through the Lachin Corridor without any preconditions, while preserving the rights of the population living there,” the statement states.
Expressing regret over the obstacles created for traffic and supplies, Paris also recalled the tripartite statement adopted on November 9, 2020, which emphasized the uninterrupted operation of the Lachine Corridor. “Azerbaijan is committed to guaranteeing the safety of the movement of people, transport, and goods through the Lachin Corridor in both directions,” the statement emphasizes.
It should be reminded that from 10:30 in the morning of December 12, a group of Azerbaijanis closed the Shushi-Karin section of the Stepanakert-Goris highway for environmental reasons. Hundreds of citizens, including minors, cannot return home, and some of them temporarily stayed in Syunik Marz. The transport connection of Lisagor, Mets Shen, Hin Shen, and Yegtsahogh villages of the Shushi region with the capital Stepanakert is interrupted.
And yesterday it became known that the work of the gas pipeline feeding Artsakh was disrupted by Azerbaijanis.
