"Pashinyan's words may be manipulations to promote the "peace agenda" ". Seyran Ohanyan

"We are close to war," said MP of the "Armenia" (Hayastan) faction Seyran Ohanyan at a briefing in parliament, commenting on the speech of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that Azerbaijan is trying to form the legitimacy of a large-scale attack on Nagorno-Karabakh and the Republic of Armenia.\

According to him, there is always a threat of war, but, in his opinion, Pashinyan's words may be manipulations to promote the "peace agenda". "Instead of strengthening positions throughout the year, they think about peace, they came up with a new term - mirror withdrawal. We are against Azerbaijan's five points, if implemented, Artsakh and the prospect that Artsakh cannot be part of Azerbaijan are under threat."

"The authorities talk about the rights of the Artsakh Armenians, but when you ask about the self-determination of Artsakh, they don't speak, they refer to their interviews," Ohanyan added. Ohanyan demands that the authorities disclose what they have responded to Azerbaijan's proposals: "If they say they agree, then they refuse to self-determination of Artsakh."

Seyran Ohanyan also noted that it causes concern that in such a situation we don't yet have a head of the General Staff․
