The Deputy Foreign Minister presented the position of the Armenian side regarding the process of the regulation of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations to the Ambassador of Chile

Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Chile Eduardo Escobar (residence: Moscow) in relation to the presentation of a copy of his credentials.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope that the Chilean diplomat will be able to carry out fruitful activities, giving new impetus to the further expansion of relations in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

From the point of view of the development of bilateral relations, the parties emphasized the importance of high-level mutual visits, inter-parliamentary relations, and the activation of contacts between foreign political departments. Regarding the development of trade and economic ties, the bilateral interest was emphasized, considering the regional structures in the context of additional opportunities for partnership.

The interlocutors touched upon the problems of the regional and international agenda.

In this context, Paruyr Hovhannisyan presented to Eduardo Escobar the consequences of the large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan on the sovereign territory of Armenia on September 13, as well as the positions of the Armenian side regarding Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the process of settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations.
