Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan touched upon the prospects for the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations, stressing that when a mutual willingness to start a conversation is expressed, specific steps should be taken to start that conversation.
“We have received a mandate from the citizens of Armenia to open an era of peaceful development for Armenia and the region. In the context of these discussions there were positive signals from Turkey about their readiness to start a conversation. We assessed these signals and expressed the readiness of the Armenian government to start a conversation about the possibilities of settling relations, opening communications. When a mutual willingness to start a conversation is expressed, specific steps should be taken to start that conversation,” Pashinyan said.
