Back in May 2021, at a government meeting, I stated that I was ready to sign a proposal to start the demarcation and delimitation process, PM Nikol Pashinyan said this during the Q&A session with the government at the parliament today.
He also recalled that he spoke about the importance of the demarcation and delimitation process during the pre-election period․ “Before and after that, I stated that I consider it extremely important to begin and complete the process of demarcation and delimitation. In May and after that, Russia made a proposal three times and, in fact, all three times we agreed to move forward on this process. I have an impression that the process hasn’t moved from its place because Azerbaijan delayed or or didn’t give a concrete answer,” Pashinyan said.
The Prime Minister said that at yesterday’s meeting of the Security Council he once again stated that the peaceful settlement of the situation on the border is extremely important, and the proposals made earlier are in force, including regarding the start of the process of delimitation and demarcation.
