Today, December 25, 10 tons of humanitarian cargo was transferred from Armenia to Artsakh through the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Zara Amatuni, press officer of the Armenian Red Cross office, informed “Hetq” about this.

“The contents of the cargo were children’s and other food, and medicines, which were transferred to the health institutions of Artsakh in order to redistribute from there,” he said.

Zara Amatuni also informed that 4 foreign citizens were taken out of Artsakh today through the mediation of the Red Cross. He did not say which country they were citizens of.

“I can only mention that they had chronic diseases, and that was the reason for the transfer,” he said.

From December 12 until today, Azerbaijan continues to close the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia. On December 12, at 10:30 a.m., a group of Azerbaijanis closed the Shushi-Karin section of the Stepanakert-Goris highway, putting 120,000 residents of Artsakh under siege. 1100 civilians, including 270 minors, cannot return to Artsakh, some of them temporarily staying in Syunik. The transport connection of Lisagor, Mets Shen, Hin Shen, and Yegtsahogh villages of the Shushi region with the capital Stepanakert is interrupted.
