If Armenia and Azerbaijan ever negotiations on a peace treaty at some point, the issue of the status of Nagorno-Karabakh on the basis of the principles fixed by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs should definitely be on the agenda of the negotiations.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said this during a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, answering a question about how he would comment on the statements that the peace treaty with Armenia should include the recognition of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
“Instead of the Azerbaijani authorities I’d focus on the implementation of the agreements already reached by the trilateral statements from November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021. At the moment, no negotiations on a peace treaty are underway,” Mirzoyan said.
