The trilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan requires the consent and the readiness of all parties, spokesperson of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said, TASS reports.
“Of course, such contacts will be necessary at some stage, but in order for them to be possible, the consent and willingness of the three parties to this is necessary. Indeed, the resumption of hostilities on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is something that yesterday became a cause for serious concern, but thanks to the mediation efforts of the Russian side, it was possible to urge the conflicting parties to restraint. The Russian side will continue to do this. We still expect that the only way to stabilize the situation is the implementation of the trilateral agreements,” Peskov said.
