On November 5, the crisis management center of the State Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report about the explosion of a mine in the administrative area of Karmir village of Askerani region and the wounding of one civilian.
According to the report of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the operative groups of rescue and emergency medical assistance who went to the scene of the incident took the injured citizen to the republican medical center.
At 4:30 p.m., the Ministry of Health “Republican Medical Center” CJSC informed the police that S. Azaryan, a 32-year-old resident of the Berdashen community of Martunu region, was admitted to them with a landmine amputation of the left foot, an open fracture of the 2nd finger of the left hand (he works in Karmir village of Askeran region).
The police officers who went to the medical facility found out that on the same day around 13:00 S. Azaryan was at work in the area called “Ghumategh” of the administrative area of Karmir village of Askeran region, when a mine exploded in the pasture, as a result of which he was taken to the medical center with bodily injuries.
The Stepanakert city police department is engaged in the inspection.
