A humanitarian disaster cannot be allowed. CSTO General Secretary Stanislav Zas said during a press conference held in the Sputnik Armenia multimedia press center in the format of the Moscow-Astana-Bishkek-Yerevan-Minsk lottery, commenting on the situation in the Lachin Corridor.
It should be noted that a question was sent to Zas about the statements addressed to the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.
In response, he noted that the mission performed by the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh is very important for the entire Caucasus region. According to Zas, the peacekeepers are solving very important problems there.
“Of course, it is necessary to mention the difficult conditions in which these issues need to be resolved – an aggravated situation, the blocking of the Lachin corridor. In our opinion, it is very important to give free movement to people and humanitarian goods, so that ordinary citizens do not have deprivations and difficulties, let alone some kind of humanitarian disaster”, Zas said.
He added that all parties should help and be interested in the activities of the peacekeepers.
