Mirzoyan highlighted the international community’s continuous and targeted response and steps toward reopening the Lachin Corridor

On January 5, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received the Ambassador of France to Armenia, Anne Louyot.

As reported by the RA Foreign Ministry, Minister Mirzoyan presented to the French ambassador the situation created by Azerbaijan blocking the Lachin Corridor, emphasizing that the 120.000 people of Nagorno Karabakh, who are under blockade due to Azerbaijan’s illegal actions, are facing a gradual deepening humanitarian crisis.

Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the continuous and targeted response and steps taken by the international community in the direction of reopening the Lachin Corridor, according to Azerbaijan’s 2020 plan of obligations stipulated in the tripartite declaration of November 9. In this context, the RA Foreign Minister highly appreciated the position of the French side, expressing satisfaction with 2022 in connection with the calls made by France during the emergency session of the UN Security Council on December 20 and the subsequent efforts.
