Today, 5 more patients were transferred from Artsakh to Armenia

With the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross, five patients from the “Republican Medical Center” CJSC were transferred to different specialized medical centers of RA today. This is reported by the Artsakh Ministry of Health.

Their diagnoses are “Condition after kidney transplant, small left kidney, recurrent disease”, “Pregnancy VII, 19-20 weeks, high risk of trisomy 21, 18, 13 in the fetus”, “Left breast cancer”, “Left lung cancer”, and “Condition after landmine injury, postoperative anophthalmos, integrated implant infection, rejection” with diagnoses.

“Because of Azerbaijan’s blocking of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia, scheduled surgeries continue to be suspended in the medical facilities operating under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

12 children are in the neonatal and intensive care units in the “Arevik” medical unit.

At “Republican Medical Center” CJSC, 11 patients are in the intensive care unit, and 5 of them are in critical condition. The doctors are doing their best to stabilize the condition of the patients.

Until today, a total of 24 patients have been transferred from Artsakh to Armenia with the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross,” the ministry said in a statement.
