The Mejlis of Azerbaijan condemned the resolution of the European Parliament regarding the Lachin Corridor |factor.am|

The Milli Mejlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan reacted to the resolution adopted yesterday by the European Parliament regarding the Lachin Corridor, condemning it.

It should be reminded that the European Parliament adopted a resolution consisting of 11 points regarding the humanitarian consequences of the blockade of Nagorno Karabakh, by which it demands Azerbaijan unblock the Lachin Corridor.

The Parliament of Azerbaijan expressed dissatisfaction with this resolution.

“We express our protest against the biased and unfair resolution adopted by the European Parliament on January 19, 2023, which is based on lies and baseless accusations,” the statement said.

In addition, the Mejlis accuses the proponents of the resolution of double standards, and Armenia of allegedly violating the provisions of the statement of November 9, 2020. The Parliament of Azerbaijan notes that the Lachin Corridor is allegedly “open for the transportation of humanitarian goods by Russian peacekeepers, representatives of the Red Cross Committee, as well as for the transportation of Armenians living in Karabakh, including children and patients.”
