The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stressed the importance of the return of all detainees and noted that Russia is doing everything in this direction.

“We welcome the transfer of 8 Armenian servicemen from Azerbaijan to the Armenian side, and, of course, it’s important to complete the exchange of detainees following the “all for all” principle. Russia has done, is doing and will do everything to return detainees,” Zakharova said.

Zakharova said that on December 2, 2020, with the mediation of Russian peacekeepers, a total of 146 people were returned -127 to the Armenian side, 19 to the Azerbaijani side.
